With a tram stop (University of Nottingham) right outside it is easy to visit Lakeside via the tram.

As we have limited parking, making the most of one of seven free Park & Ride sites in and around Nottingham is a great option. Simply leave your car, avoid the city centre traffic and hop on the tram that brings you straight to Lakeside.

Pop the postcode NG7 2RD in your SatNav.  

You’ll find Lakeside at the South Entrance of the University’s Park Campus. You can enter University Park via University Boulevard (A6005). This entrance is accessible if you’re coming from the Beeston direction. If you are coming from Clifton Boulevard you’ll need to stay in the left-hand lane and follow the signs for the Tennis Centre. This will then allow you to turn right onto University Boulevard. 

Alternatively, if you are coming to us from Lenton or Clifton Boulevard (A52) you can use the North Entrance. Once you reach the security gate, just let them know you are visiting Lakeside. 

Parking at Lakeside can be limited, especially when we have events on and during University term time. If you’re travelling by car, please allow extra time for your journey and to find suitable parking.

Free Lakeside Car Parks:

There are two free car parks next to Lakeside’s DH Lawrence Pavilion which do fill up quickly during busy periods. Visitors to Lakeside and Highfields Park can park here for free at any time, for any duration.

There is also parking on University Park campus.

If you are visiting at the weekend or after 4pm on a weekday, all University Park Campus car parks are unrestricted and free to use.

If you are visiting us before 4pm on a weekday you can also park in the pay and display visitor car parks on campus. There is one located up the hill from Lakeside (on Cut Through Lane) where you will have to purchase a ticket.

If you reach the security gate let them know you are here for Lakeside Arts and they will happily let you in. The map below will show you the available car parks on campus.

*Lakeside Arts is in buildings 49 and 50 – the Djanogly Recital Hall is in building 33. The Pay and Display car park is situated between buildings 16 and 18.

You’ll find bus stops right outside Lakeside on University Boulevard.

From Friar Lane to University South Entrance: Trent Barton Indigo (to Long Eaton/Derby) runs every five minutes during the day and less frequently in the evening, these buses run 24/7.

From City Centre: 34 (City Centre/University Park loop) seven days a week, all year round. See Nottingham City Transport timetable for details.

Lakeside is about 2.5 miles away from Nottingham Train Station. From the station, there are frequent trams to Lakeside (stop: University of Nottingham) on the Toton Lane line.

You can reach Lakeside very easily by bike. There are plenty of cycle routes, plus covered bike storage.
